Here are some new resources that we have purchased with the funds already raised from ticket sales! So far we have: Stilts, traffic cones, Schleich fairy set, Bee-Bot programmable robot, Duplo cars and people and a huge box of Zoob. The children have already begun to enjoy these new toys which provide some much needed interest at this time in the year when we have exhausted most of our other resources! We have secured some fantastic new prizes for the kindy Christmas raffle. Extra tickets can be purchased from the office.
Every day, Queensland teachers are making a difference educating and inspiring young people across our state.
World Teachers' Day is an opportunity to acknowledge our teachers and say thanks for the significant contributions they make in our classrooms and communities. Celebrated in more than 100 countries world-wide, World Teachers' Day was established by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) in 1994 to recognise the role of teachers in society. World Teachers' Day is held internationally on 5 October. As the day usually falls during school holidays, Queensland celebrates on the last Friday of October each year. In 2016, World Teachers' Day will be celebrated in Queensland on Friday 28 October, during State Education Week. Please take a moment this week to thank the amazing teachers at Aspley East Kindy whose longstanding contribution and dedication to our kindy makes AEK the very special place that it is. Grandparents Day is a chance for children and the community to thank grandparents for their love and support.
What are you going to do to celebrate the Grandparents in your life? See here for more information. |
